  • Me describiría a mi mismo como I'm a 48 y.o. single, romantic GWM looking for enduring & meaningful ties. My stats: six-one, two-sixty, buzzed hair, brown eyes, mustache & goatee, very hairy front & back, HIV neg & STD-free as of May, 2010. I'm a bear, not a musclebear, and I have a belly and a 46" waist. I'm neither proud nor ashamed of it -- it's simply the way I am at the moment.

    I'm a successful professional, have lived on both coasts as well as abroad (Spain & Switzerland), have traveled extensively, have many cultural & intellectual interests, am a great cook, a great cuddler, and in addition to meeting that someone special am always looking to make new friends. I'm quite shy at first and many people mistakenly assume that I'm aloof. Once I get to know someone, I'm more outgoing, but in general I'm a quiet, warm, and easygoing guy, and a loyal friend. I value basic manners, respect, sincerity, kindness, courtesy, and hospitality. Some of my interests include travel, foreign languages, music, playing the cello, movies, TV (generally comedies), watching stand-up comedy routines, cooking, fine dining, beachgoing, current events, reading (medicine, science, technology, politics, philosophy, psychology, history, biographies), road trips, long walks, cycling, etc.

    Ideally, I'd like to find someone into dating & getting to know each other in a relaxed way over a period of time, with the possibility of eventually forming a loving LTR. I love cute lil cubs and chasers, and every now and then a big 'ol bear can be nice, too. Hairy and facial hair are pluses. I don't expect perfection. Looks and age are not relevant for a platonic friendship, however. I'm not the athletic type but am very attracted to athletic men and would like to meet someone who would be into sharing his activities with a chubby who needs a little companionship & encouragement to be more physically active.
